Ethnically grown  in the southeast Amazon rainforest of Peru in the region of Tambopata.

 

Our Peruvian cacao is grown and handcrafted by our farmer Jane' and the women in her community. The cacao grows harmoniously on her small family farm, beneath the shade of banana trees along the Las Piedras river. By purchasing Soul Melody Cacao, you are supporting Jane’ and her community directly, and helping to preserve the Amazon Rainforest.

 

The Peruvian cacao is potent, heart awakening, and embodies flavors of rich mocha and earth. It carries the ancient mystery and magic of the Amazon jungle, and the love of the women who grow it. It is very special because it is grown and hand processed by Jane' and it cannot be found anywhere else. 

 

Fermentation: 5-7 days in banana leaves 

Altitude: 200-400 metres above sea level

Land Specifics: forest by the river of the southeast Amazon jungle region of Tambopata or "Madre de Dios," (Mother of God) river, surrounded by natural rainforest, and next to Jane's family home
