In the Amazon rainforest, many tribes use face paint for reasons such as artistic expression, camouflage, societal ranking, ceremonies, to distinguish themselves from other groups, and more. Jane’ our Amazonian farmer comes from the lineage of the Ashaninka tribe. Although they do use face paint, the markings on the original art were not representative of her lineage.
 
Now that we are beginning to support other cultures and that are also keepers of cacao, the face paint no longer felt in resonance, and it was time for a makeover.
